Next beginners course for all those interested in starting this wonderful sport that is archery, will be held on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of September 2019.
The course will be held on the morning of the Saturday and then all day Sunday.
This course is now full and any further applications will be added to the waiting list for the next course scheduled for early 2020

A big archery event is coming to the Deeside on the 7th and 8th of Septmber.
Respectively on saturday and on sunday, Corus Deeside Archery Club will host a tournament valid for World Record Status at the practice field in CH5 1PU, Rowley’s Dr, Shotton.
With collaboration and support from North Wales Archery Society and Welsh Archery Association, this event will be suitable for all archers that desire to test their skills in a proper competition and for those as well that will enjoy two extra days of practice with the aim to just shoot in this wonderful sport that is archery.
The judge in charge will be Mr Ian Ashworth, with the additional support from judges Mr Jason Lynch, Mr Colin Mudd and Mrs Brenda Timperley.
Competition type will be Double 1440 and Star and metrics I to V .
The location, is the scenical and historical field of Shotton Steel RFC, in Rowley’s Dr, Shotton, Deeside CH5 1PU, also known as the summer meeting point of our club.
Don’t miss it out, remember, September the 7th and the 8th from 8.00 am up about 5-6pm.

We have moved outdoors for the summer season.
The new container will be arriving in a couple of weeks and we’ll move the foam bosses in there, freeing up the main hut.

There are three ways of joining the club, depending on your experience.
If you have no experience then sign up for a beginners course. This is your best way as we teach you the basis of shooting safely and if you pass at the end you can join the club immediately. Check the beginners course page.

If you an experienced archer with a valid ArcheryGB membership card and you wish to transfer your membership to our club, then use the contact information on this website to arrange to meet a club officer on one of our shooting days. Contact information.
Archer with previous experience
If you are a lapsed member of ArcheryGB (or GNAS) or have previous experience of shooting with a bow and arrow, then we will need to do a safety assessment before you can join. We’ll evaluate your current knowledge to ensure you understand the basic etiquette of archery and understand the need to practice archery in a way that is safe to you and others. Contact us to arrange this with a coach.

Corus Deeside Archery Club are proud to be hosting a record status Hereford and Bristol rounds tournament on behalf of North Wales Archery Society on July 30th. This is an open event to all Archery GB registered archers. Please see the attached file for details of how to enter. We look forward to seeing you on the day and wish you all good shooting.
