If you’ve been on this site recently, you’ll have seen that we closed the beginners course application sign up.
Our next Beginners Course is full so any applications now will be handled as a waiting list. When a new course is scheduled we’ll contact anyone who’s put their name on the list to see if the scheduled dates are convenient.
We cannot say yet when the next beginners course will be. It’ll be down to several factors.
- How any current beginners have integrated into the club and are now self-sufficient.
- Venue availablilty
- number of people on the waiting list
If you wish to be added to the waiting list please sign up here.
A huge congratulations go out to TeamGB’s Paralympic Archery medal winners.
Phoebe Paterson Pine for winning Gold in the Women’s Individual Open Compound. ArcheryGB Article
Victoria Rumary for Bronze in the Women’s Individual W1 event. ArcheryGB Article.
This adds to the fantastic success the UK has had in Para-Archery in the past. GB Archers have brought home 68 medals from 1960 to 2020, leading the medal table for Archery in the Paralympics.
I could fill this post with a list of every single medal winner but it would go on for pages. Each medalist has overcome tremendous disability to achieve their accolade and I admire every one of them.
Many thanks to those who helped during the Have-A-Go session on Sunday.
It was a roaring success with great feedback for those that participated.
Here is some feedback:
Many thanks to you and fellow volunteers yesterday. William very much enjoyed the experience of shooting at the targets. Hopefully he may pursue Archery as time goes by, but more probably here in the Wirral. But you all certainly gave him a good taste of it. – Geoff
Thank you so much for a lovely morning, we all really enjoyed it. – Kate
We now have a full Beginners Course as 7 participants signed up on the back of the course and 4 parents have also signed up.
In celebration of restarting outdoor shooting after a long absence we are inviting any lapsed members of the club and members of the public to a have-a-go on the 11th July 2021.
This will be held on the outdoor grounds on Rowley Drive, Shotton from 10am to 2pm.
Registration is now closed! We look forward to seeing those who have registered on the day.
The generous efforts of our superb committee has brought to life an additional location for the indoor shooting. Thanks to Pete and Gareth, we have confirmed a new range at the Scouts base in Connah’s Quay.
