Being a coach, means dedicating time to others. But like shooting, if you have that passion, it can be very rewarding. Becoming a Development Coach, means you have learned how to adapt coaching to tailor more effective and engaging sessions.
Archery Seminar 2023
Another wonderful archery event completed today. Our head coach led a very interesting seminar about a number of topics which are often barely touched during the archery year.
- How many hours of shooting do you need to master archery?
- Which is the only confirmed way to improve your scores?
This is my tribe
What a good way to start the new year with a friendly day down at the range.
Some arrows fly straight in, some others dwell lazy on the side. A bright sun and a lovely sky to warm temperatures in this peaceful bank holiday.
That unique feeling of peace, of belonging, that only archery can give you.
2023 Tournaments Calendar
UPDATE: unfortunately, unannounced changes in our venue host schedule have made us cancel the upcoming.
An interesting year awaits the audacious archers.
After the successful mini-events of the Club Championship and the return of the Witches and Warlocks, we have decided to put more efforts and serve more competition practice to the Archery community with a number of smaller and bigger shoots.

Indoor Programme 2022/2023
As per every shooting season, here is the scheduled programme for this winter. We’ll be shooting indoor (and partly outdoors) until the end of March 2023.
We have chosen to align our club’s tournaments to the Welsh Archery Association winter postal league so every round scored by our members, will be a common participation in the Welsh country picture (you can always choose to not participate in the winter league if you wish, just letting us know).
Equipment Maintenance
When shooting at the club everyone has a responsibility for their own safety and that of other club members.
In order to maintain the club’s good safety record, it is important that club members:
- Operate under Archery GB rules of shooting.
- Use well maintained equipment.
Witches And Warlocks 2022 results
Good news everyone: the spirit of Archery is not dead!
Today a good number of archers gathered to have fun together, celebrate the closure of the outdoors season with a last fun tournament and enjoy a wonderful day out.
Witches And Warlocks: the “Targets” List
Evil is Coming, and a great deal of Archers has risen to fight against it.
On Sunday the 30th of October, on Corus’ Battlefield, in Shotton, Witches And Warlocks will gather to excel in their magical art, one of the most supreme exquisite and elegant among all mystical skills: Archery.
Here is the: Target List
The day will see a number of awards being assigned.
Only one Witch and one Warlock will be elected as the true winner of the year, regardless of their experience and awarded a Magical Seal to boost their power (based on pumpkins hit).

Another Level 2 Coach
It took a while, but through the slowness of the bureaucratic machine of ArcheryGB, we can finally cheer the official reinstatement one of our best coaches.
With the experience of (nearly) an entire lifetime in archery, and an extensive knowledge well recognized by olympic archers, we are very proud to congratulate with
Patrick Beckett,
who is now a Level 2 Development Coach. The constant activity and support that Patrick put every day in our club, to support archers develop their form and skill, and by encouraging novices with excellent observations, has been officially recognized by ArcheryGB and the old qualification once achieved and held, officially reactivated.
Well done Patrick.
