Good news everyone: the spirit of Archery is not dead!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today a good number of archers gathered to have fun together, celebrate the closure of the outdoors season with a last fun tournament and enjoy a wonderful day out.<\/p>\n

In the very morning, our fantastic volunteers<\/strong> showed up to roll out the field. It’s always so great to see that people come together and help each other out. You can really have so much more fun when we all work towards the same goals. Preparation were done, lines marked, stickers and targets faces put on, and kits were set up.<\/p>\n

Amazingly, judges Brenda Timperley and candidate judge Phil Abbott<\/strong> adjusted to all situations (just some minor ones, but as a tournament officer on the way to perfection, you want to excel even on a non record status event).<\/p>\n

Loved how well and nicely Brenda addressed all elements of the event and was quite happy to see our fellow member of the club, Phil Abbott taking his first steps in the field of “judging”.<\/p>\n

The day was literally gorgeous<\/strong>. For a last day of October, quite a warm weather and mostly sunny. I love to shoot in the rain but if there’s a light spell, it gives you an extra chance to practice your mind game and to get ready for official competitions weather.<\/p>\n

To be fair to all the archers,
\nI jinxed it – but then quickly worked to fix it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had praised the beautiful sun we had during the assembly, and took the rightful blame as some rain began to fall.<\/p>\n

Soon as it started though, my wizard hat on, magical staff out, and the clouds were cast away<\/strong>. The sun was back, shining on the righteous.<\/p>\n

Archery’s a tough sport you know! Through all the fun, you might have to overcome some challenging moments, some bad weather, at times windy, at time rainy, or even some mis-shot…<\/p>\n

And the day we summoned, played out really well.<\/p>\n

Various archers got awarded. Those who made it through the battle, were awarded the rank of witch\/warlock while the first places got some special titles too:<\/p>\n
