{"id":633,"date":"2022-04-28T07:48:59","date_gmt":"2022-04-28T07:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/?p=633"},"modified":"2022-04-28T07:51:25","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T07:51:25","slug":"new-coaches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/new-coaches\/","title":{"rendered":"New coaches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The club grew last weekend with 3 new coaches. <strong>Angelo<\/strong>, <strong>Ged<\/strong> and <strong>Richard<\/strong> completed their two months long coaching journey to become official level 1 session coaches.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Along with <strong>Pete, Patrick, Colin<\/strong> and <strong>Mark<\/strong>, the club is now in a better position to welcome new members and help everyone grow to be a better archer.<\/p>\n<p>The Level 1 course, was held in the wonderful venue of Goldcrest Archers in Hyde (wonderful venue) by the most competent <strong>Fiona German-Lloyd<\/strong>, <strong>Graham Norris<\/strong> and <strong>Joyce Harrison<\/strong> over four full day sessions.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_634\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-634\" style=\"width: 970px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-634\" src=\"https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/goldcrest-session-coach.jpg\" alt=\"Session Coach Course (archery) images\" width=\"970\" height=\"1222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/goldcrest-session-coach.jpg 970w, https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/goldcrest-session-coach-238x300.jpg 238w, https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/goldcrest-session-coach-768x968.jpg 768w, https:\/\/toxarch.co.uk\/corus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/goldcrest-session-coach-813x1024.jpg 813w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-634\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Learning the challenge of various situations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Our archers have learned the importance of observation, of sharing their findings with other coaches and the importance of <strong>reaching decisions as a group of coaches<\/strong> rather than just telling archers just \u201chow it should be\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A very important aspect has also been the learning of the ABC of <strong>Empowering Archery<\/strong>, a framework of principles to deliver better engaging sessions and improve our way of teaching. The course was also an occasion for the participants to meet the brilliant coach development manager <strong>Lloyd Brown<\/strong> who delivered this innovative approach to make us all better coaches.<\/p>\n<p>Well done to everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The club grew last weekend with 3 new coaches.
